Lois R. Schumann Dec. 19, 1919 - Feb. 21, 2016 Visalia Lois R. Schumann was born on December 19, 1919 in Redondo Beach CA to John and Lesley (Ferguson) Lawrence. She passed away on February 21, 2016 in Visalia CA at the age of 96. She was raised in Redondo Beach. Lois married Lawrence Roy Jr in 1939. They had three children, Mary, Roger and Richard. After his sudden death, she became a teacher and taught 1st thru 4th grade at Conyer School. She found such joy and loved teaching. On summer breaks she enjoyed traveling and met Harold "Scooter" Schumann at Huntington Lake. They were married 41 years. They both loved life and life loved them back. They traveled the country by RV, fishing and hiking with their Suzie Dog's, and Rock Hunting. They were active members of the Tule Gem and Mineral Club. Lois had a passion for reading and Bible Studies. She loved all children, her Family, Christmas time and Chocolate. She treasured her days spent at Courtright Lake, her "Piece of Heaven on Earth." Her unwavering Spunk, Energy and Kind Spirit will be missed. Lois is survived by her daughter Mary Madsen and step son Mark Schumann along with numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and even a few Great Great Grands! There will be a Time of Reflection on Saturday March 5, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Burial will be private in the Visalia District Cemetery.
